The Shel"a HaKadosh writes that when he was a young student of Rabbi Shlomo Leibush's and they were studying Tur Siman 36 where it lists the extra and missing letters of parts of the Torah (e.g. the word זכור is written with a ו) his teacher read every word very slowly and carefully. He himself read everything quickly as there was nothing there that required any contemplation or explanation. His teacher rebuked him severely and said that one needs to respect words of Torah and to say them deliberately with awe as they all bring joy to God.
