The existence of evil results from being distant from Unity (אחד). Evil results from opposition and within Unity there is no opposition. For this reason our Sages tell us that in future times there will be no evil, because when God's unity is manifest evil cannot exist.
Truth is one. For example if one were to describe a silver goblet as being made of silver that is the truth, and there is only one truth. But if one wishes to lie about the composition of the goblet there is no limit to the lies one can tell. One can say it is gold, or aluminum or iron. Falsehood results from the "seeking many reckonings," and in the future there will be no other side and things will revert to a pre-Creation state.
When Existence was in a potential state but not yet actualized all was true, all was one. We cannot even refer to it as pure,
as purity is only meaningful where there is the potential for impurity. Free will (בחירה) does not exist in the pre-Creation unified state as there cannot be choice where there is One. With the act of Creation, when God brought forth more than one, choice become possible.
It follows then that Free-Will and falsehood which leads to impurity, which is evil and stands in opposition all result from the post-Creation state, when there were two aspects: One and Creation. Falsehood is a direct result of being distant from the pre-Creation Unity.
The further one goes the greater the falsehood. For this reason as soon as Chava was created, as soon as there was more than one person, they began to sin. As their family size increased, the fighting began. As man increased across the world the corruption that led to the flood started. As numbers begin to increase and things move father from Unity falsehood is strengthened. Truth is made stronger when we reveal the truth within the many. This is the purpose of Creation from beginning to end as it is all for the sake of man, for free-will for truth and falsehood. The more things increase the greater the accomplishment when one can find the Unity and increase the glory of Hashem.
